The flash back welder was designed in Australia in 1970s in quantity 1 off. The design engineers retired a long time ago so when the machine started malfunctioning the client had a lot of problems to service it. As the budget was limited and time was tight we advised the client that the least expensive solution was to re-build the old control system. This required repair of the board you can see in the photo. It was built using obsolete components so we had to re-engineer parts of the circuit replacing faulty, obsolete parts with currently available elements. The machine was re-commissioned successfully to the client’s satisfaction just in time to save his order book.
